January 27 • 11am-4 p.m. • Free admission for Hudson Valley residents on the last Sunday of each month. City of Beacon residents (including nearby Fishkill, Chelsea and Glenham) receive free admission every Saturday and Sunday. Must show ID/proof of residence.


THURSDAY
Free pizza for federal workers and their families
On Thursday, January 24 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., 
the Mid-Hudson Children's Museum (75 North Water Street, Poughkeepsie) will open its doors to treat federal workers (and their children) affected by the government shutdown to a free night of fun and pizza! Pizza provided by Amici's and chowder from the River Station Restaurant. Mental Health America will also be on site to provide resources and services to workers impacted by the shutdown. Pre-registration is requiredFree admission for two adults and children living in the same household, must show Federal ID. mhcm.org

Be an Owl Pellet Investigator 
January 26 • 1-3 p.m. • Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center, Wappingers Falls. Dissect an owl pellet and learn about this nocturnal bird. For ages 8-12. $5 per child. Register by emailing foundation@stonykill.org.

Community Bonfire
