Support the HVNY community

HVNY delivers the newsletter, This Week in the Hudson Valley, to visitors and neighbors throughout the region – for free – every week.

HVNY provides our community information about weather across the region, from snowstorms to heavy rain and damaging winds a week after, to local events like free tours every third Thursday at Olana State Historic Site, and a talk on the history of the Great Germantown Fire that changed the landscape of the quaint southern CoCo village, and how to stay safe in your own backyard after rabid foxes were spotted in Westchester. There was also a story on how local libraries in northern Dutchess County are loaning animatronic animals to our seniors to combat loneliness, and the story of one sister’s survival from abuse to incarceration to freedom – finally. And all that happened in just one month.

In addition to the free weekly newsletter, HVNY aims to support our local artists through the HVNY Marketplace, where local artists, makers, authors, chefs… – anyone who wants! – can show off their work and get paid for it. No hidden fees, no money going to big unknown businesses, just multiple happy dances when an order comes in (really.): An all-local economy.
