Opening of Hudson Valley Artists 2026: Terrestrial Extra

Unearthed ourselves from hunkering down in this brutal cold and found refuge (and local art!) at the Dorsky Museum at SUNY New Paltz on Saturday night with a bright, warm and well-attended opening reception of “Hudson Valley Artists 2026: Terrestrial Extra,” an exhibition of local artists that “considers how industrial materials pulled from the Earth’s surface or extracted from its depths enter our field of vision.”

On view through March 29, 2026.
The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art is open Wednesday–Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and campus holidays.
