Photos: Kim Gordon reverberates across Storm King for season opener
Written By HVNY
The legendary Kim Gordon reverberated off Maya Lin’s Wave Field and the firefly-speckled sculpture grounds of Storm King Art Center in New Windsor on Saturday night to kick off the art park’s summer concert series. (The security guards couldn’t even help smiling at each other when the 70-plus-year-old Sonic Youth guitarist began to absolutely shred while ripping through her latest solo album Play Me.) The Storm King Art Center’s summer concert series continues on July 11 with the Devonté Hynes Ensemble, and August 15 featuring Sun Ra Arkestra. More in the HVNY calendar.
