2023 Early Voting
Early voting throughout New York State begins on Saturday, October 28, 2023 and runs through Sunday, November 5, 2023.
New York residents may vote at ANY early voting site in their registered county, (but you may only vote once). You do not need an appointment to vote early. Your in-person vote overrides an absentee ballot. If you vote early, you will not be allowed to vote on the General Election Day, November 7, 2023.
Deadline to register to vote
The deadline to register to vote is Saturday, October 28, 2023 in order to be eligible to vote in the 2023 General Election.
Deadline for change of address
The deadline in New York State to change your address in time for the 2023 General Election is Monday, October 23, 2023.
Deadline for absentee ballots
The deadline for the board of elections to receive an absentee ballot application is Monday, October 23, 2023.
The deadline to apply in-person for an absentee ballot is Monday, November 6, 2023.
The deadline to postmark or deliver an absentee ballot in-person to your board of elections is November 7, 2023.
2023 General Election Day
If you do not vote early, voting takes place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 for this year’s general election. You must vote at the location you are registered.
