  • Stay indoors during peak heat hours (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day

Keep track of heat risk

New York State Department of Health has launched an interactive New York State Heat Risk and Illness Dashboard that will “allow the public and county health care officials to determine the forecasted level of heat-related health risks in their areas and raise awareness about the dangers of heat exposure.”

Call ahead/check with the location for hours of operation.
