Hudson Valley Safe Ride Guide
Every holiday weekend, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the New York State Police pull over dozens of impaired drivers from the roads. We know – things can be stressful and the parties can be fun but that is no reason to take that risk on the road.
Don’t “Have a Plan”? There’s a free app for that.
The New York State Governors Traffic Safety Committee and the NYS STOP-DWI Foundation released a “Have A Plan” mobile app. This app provides you with a timely and convenient resource that enables you to locate and call a taxi service, program a designated-driver list, educate yourself on Blood Alcohol Content levels as well as information on DWI laws and penalties or even report a suspected impaired driver. Available for Apple and Android smart phones. http://www.stopdwi.org/mobileapp

Thank you for being a friend
If you're planning a night on the town, be sure to designate one person to take the wheel at the end of the night. Or have the phone number of a loyal – and sober – buddy on speed dial to ensure more fun nights in the future.
Have fun – but be safe!
