The greens of Putnam County Golf Course have been damaged by two individuals who illegally drove ATVs on the course recently. The golf course was able to capture video footage of the culprits riding red ATVs on the property.

“The Putnam County Golf Course has been a premier destination in the Hudson Valley with its lush greens at public prices,” said Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell. “We cannot allow individuals to misuse the golf course at the expense of the taxpayers.”

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Carmel Police Department, is asking for the public’s assistance to identify the two drivers. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 845-225-4300 or the Carmel Police Department at 845-628-1300.
