Hazardous weather alert: Freeze watch, wet snow

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for parts of the Hudson Valley, Catskills and Capitol region from Thursday into Friday evening:

“Rain early tonight may mix with and change to wet snow overnight into Friday morning. A coating to 1 inch of snow is possible in valley areas with 1 to 3 inches in the southern Adirondacks and the northern Taconics. Use caution if traveling.

Some wet snow will taper off in the morning with light accumulations possible. Use caution if traveling Friday morning.” – NWS in Albany


A Freeze Watch has also been issued in Putnam and Rockland counties.
