WEDNESDAY
Rockefeller Christmas Tree to be lit
This year’s Rockefeller Christmas Tree was grown right here in the Hudson Valley (specifically, in the Village of Florida over in Orange County), and this Wednesday night, we get to see it all lit up on the Plaza during a special ceremony (broadcasted live on NBC). The annual tree lighting ceremony begins at 8pm, with the actual lighting of the tree taking place sometime between 9:30-10pm. The tree lighting is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also see the tree aglow through Friday, January 17, 2020 at Rockefeller Center (located between West 48th and 51st Streets and Fifth and Sixth Avenues).
