PSA: Bigfoot might be in your backyard

UFO Museum to host talk about local Sasquatch sightings this Friday

We know there are raccoons, bears, coyotes, big bucks, bobcats and other creatures in the woods near us, but … what about Sasquatch?

Gayle Beatty believes they’re out there. Beatty, who grew up in Dutchess County, had her first encounter when she was 15-years-old camping near her home at the base of Stissing Mountain in Pine Plains, and she wasn’t alone – two women had also reported seeing Bigfoot on that same stretch of road.

This large track was found in 2018 near a Burger King in Ulster County. “It confirms the fact that Bigfoot are opportunists and love Burgers!” Beatty posted on the Bigfoot Researchers of the Hudson Valley Facebook page.

There have also been several sightings near the Blue Mountain Reservation area in Peekskill, a horse stable in Orange County, three “road incidences” in New Paltz, newly-reported activity in Saugerties, and in Hyde Park where several individuals have reported “hearing, smelling and seeing something unusual.”

People will not believe the amount of Sasquatch sightings in the Hudson Valley.

Beatty will talk about collected experiences, their research, and take stories from the audience during a special talk this Friday at the UFO Museum in Pine Bush. See event details in the calendar.
