The return of the family-friendly non-denominational holiday celebration that pays homage to the Hudson Valley’s Dutch roots returned to the once-sleepy Village of Rhinebeck on Saturday. The streets overflowed with attendees, a few Grumpuses, and plenty of fun surprises for all ages throughout the day-long festival. While there is no official count on the number of attendees at Saturday’s event, Jeanne Fleming, the creative mastermind behind Sinterklaas, told HVNY it was “the largest, most joyful group of folks ever!”
