Pull a plane, for a good cause (yes, a real plane)

Pull a plane, for a good cause

If you had to, say, pull a 20,000-pound plane, who would you have on your team?

Come up with 20 people (ages 13 and up), and get ready to step up to the tarmac to take on a UPS Airbus A300 during an ultimate game of tug-of-war, for a good cause, of course.

Next Saturday, June 18, from 10am to 2pm, teams will participate in the second Pull the Plane event at Stewart International Airport to benefit the United Way of the Dutchess-Orange region. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers, and for the team that pulls the UPS plane the fastest over a distance of fifty feet.

A $20 registration fee and an agreement to raise $200 is required at the time of registration. Funds will benefit the United Way’s mission to help residents of Dutchess and Orange counties combat hunger, domestic violence, homelessness, as well as aid local veterans, and give homeless students shelter.

Register at pulltheplane.org.
