Little Littles #129 by Meadow Meadow

$65.00

The Little Little’s purpose is to make you laugh. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and everyone is unique and individually handmade. They’re perfect for your desktop, as a computer pet or companion, on your counters, tabletop, shelf or where ever you come upon them frequently. I guarantee you’ll always smile when you see them. Use them as your “Secret Shrink” they can keep a secret! My motto is… buy a Little and get allot! Or give a Little to a friend!

Littles Littles are made from a solid ball of stoneware clay. When I finish with the construction, I put a small hole up through it to allow air and gases to escape. However, sometimes-tiny hairline cracks will appear or the tail or ear might pull away from the body! This is simply expansion and contraction, it occurs with high-fired clays during the drying and firing stage. It’s totally normal! Also flashes of color variations appear on the surface from the flame licking the sides of the of sculpture in the kiln. In ancient Japan and China these imperfections were revered, since there could never be an exact duplicate! Some times the cracks would be filled with gold or silver, which made them even more valuable.
