Meet the Maker:

Name: Jess Drury

What county do you live in?: Orange

Biography: Brief Biography: Hi, I'm Jess; Clinical Herbalist, Reiki Master, Artist, Mama. My formal education began in studio art, psychology, and art therapy. Three years of study with Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine gifted me my official education in clinical holistic herbalism, while a decade of self-study and experimentation created the foundation. I studied for two years with An Ascension Space, becoming initiated into the Kundulini reiki tradition, honing my intuition and strengthening my craft. I received my postpartum doula training from DONA International and Homegrown Families.

I love plants, beauty, wide open spaces, the sound of my child’s laugh, mystery, and magic. My purpose is connection and caretaking. To hold space for healing and rebirth. To connect people with medicines from earth and energy.

My business, Moonchild Wellbeing, specializes in the compassionate care of birthing people throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. I believe that dignity, vitality, and ease can- and should- accompany you on this journey. I support the wellbeing and resiliency of partners, and the healthy development of children.

Moonchild Wellbeing offers clinical herbal consultations, reiki healing sessions, education, and herbal products that are hand-made, small batch, organic, and alcohol-free.

How long have you been living/working in the Hudson Valley?: I grew up in Orange County. I traveled and lived all over the country for a number of years but moved back to the area in 2020 with my family.

Where or what are your favorite things to do in the Hudson Valley?: I love to go hiking, driving through the quiet back-country roads, visiting local farms for berry, apple, or pumpkin picking depending on the season. Also the diners – no where in the country does diners quite like the Hudson Valley does.
