Cedar Salvage Handcrafted Leopold-Style Cedar Bench
A Combination of Live-Edged and Milled Lumber Makes Each Rustic Cedar Bench Unique
Bruce Maxson + Cedar Salavge’s benches are handcrafted in the Hudson Valley using an invasive species (Eastern Red Cedar) to make simple, solid garden benches. No attempt has been made to hide the natural features of the cedar, including seams, knots, saw blade marks, etc.
Each bench is unique, and can be inscribed with the name of a famous nature writer. (e.g. Edward Abbey, John Burroughs, Henry Beston, etc.)
Benches are treated with a blend of linseed and tung oil, for weathering protection, and to bring out the natural cedar tones without the plastic shine of polyester resins.
Eventually Recyclable: Leopold style benches are designed to last for many seasons, but to eventually be returned to the earth and be recycled.
Shipping’s included in all prices and items ship directly from their makers.
