Name: Marlee Stevenson
What county do you live in?: Dutchess
Tell us about yourself: My name is Marlee. My partner Matthew and I moved from Brooklyn to Beacon in late 2021. We knew we wanted to embrace new upstate hobbies, but beekeeping came to us on a whim. We took the leap of faith in 2023 and haven't looked back since! It’s important to us to serve our local community, which is why we sell most of our honey right from our front porch.
For us, beekeeping is about more than just honey — it’s a way to connect with nature, our neighbors, and the rhythms of the seasons. We’re excited to share a taste of our hives with you!

What are some of your favorite things to do in the region?: You'll often find us at a local brewery or winery, going on hikes with our dog, or renovating our 1800s farmhouse!
