Floral Pins (Set of 4) Hand Embroidery by Genevieve

$40.00

These adorable floral pins are perfect for springtime! They can be used on clothing, back packs, really anywhere that needs an extra pop of color! The size slightly varies from 2.25 to .75 inches long. I hand embroidered onto yellow felt, so the backing has strength. These are completely unique, one of a kind, and ready to be shipped to their new home! There are 4 total and they come as a set.

Meet the Maker:

Name: Genevieve Goetz

What county do you live in?: Columbia

Brief Biography: I live in Hudson Valley and really love the beauty around me. I am a librarian at Chatham Public Library, and Albany Public Library. I truly enjoy what I do and feel very lucky. I studied Black and White Photography for my BA. I found I am drawn to making art with my hands. My first art show was on Main Street in Chatham and is such a special memory. More recently, I’ve tried many different mediums of art and found myself watching videos on how to stitch. Learning a new way to create and express myself is still a exciting journey. I’m also very inspired by many other variations of modern fiber arts, like needle painting.

How long have you been living/working in the Hudson Valley?: 8 years

Where or what are your favorite things to do in the Hudson Valley?: I love to be outdoors, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding. I also really enjoy going to local farms and markets. Local theaters are very fun, along with yoga studios.

Describe your work: Hand embroidery on upcycled fashion and home decor

Anything else we should know about you and your work?: I believe inspiration can be found anywhere, and it’s never too late to try something new. Art is very therapeutic and I’m very grateful for such a supportive and inspiring maker community!
