Wendy Fuchs is an emerging artist who just recently moved to the Hudson Valley, coming back "home" to NY after 35 years in San Francisco. Wendy's art is largely intuitive once the paint hits the canvas, letting the abstract textures, marks and layers inform the next steps. She hand cuts stencils to create lively, colorful work, often with pops of metallic and lots of little things to notice if/when you look closely. Painting has been a new passion for Wendy, as she only began painting (self taught) five years ago. She is loving her new home here in the Hudson Valley and plans to stay for the foreseeable future.

How long have you been living/working in the Hudson Valley?: 3 months

Where or what are your favorite things to do in the Hudson Valley?: Hang with my dog and find new places and friends. We love the nature here and the quiet pace.
