Free two-hour parking in Kingston: The City of Kingston will offer free 2-hour holiday parking from Saturday, December 14 through January 1, 2025. Parking in municipal lots and at meters will be free for up to two hours.
Poets wanted! Arts Mid-Hudson is seeking nominations from “individuals and organizations, both within and beyond these counties, to celebrate poets who inspire, empower, and enrich the Mid-Hudson region. This initiative aims to bring poetry into our daily lives, engage our youth through education, and strengthen our cultural community.” Deadline to submit a nomination is midnight on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Poet Laureate will be appointed to a one-year term, allowing for one additional consecutive one-year term based on the availability of the poet. The position is an honorary position without a salary.
