Deadline to comment on proposed changes to Kaaterskill area

Gates? Timed entry? A reservation system? These are all considerations outlined to help mitigate the overflow crowds surrounding one of the state’s most popular attractions: Kaaterskill Falls.

Public feedback on the Kaaterskill Clove Project Area Visitor Use Management report will be accepted until June 1, 2026. Feedback can be submitted by email to forestpreserve@dec.ny.gov or mailed to Josh Clague, NYS DEC, 625 Broadway, 5th Floor, Albany, NY 12233-4254

For more information, visit the Adirondack High Peaks and Kaaterskill Clove Visitor Use Management Reports webpage.
