Be thankful for a designated driver

Be thankful for a designated driver this year: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently reported that more impaired driving happens on the day of Thanksgiving than the days before or after the holiday. Fatal car crashes have also increased on Thanksgiving Day, according to recent data, rising 23-percent from 2019 to 2020.

To help crackdown on impaired driving during Thanksgiving, law enforcement agencies throughout the area will be participating in a statewide STOP-DWI High Visibility Enforcement Campaign beginning Wednesday, November 27 through Sunday, December 1, 2024.
