Town of Rhinebeck sues Hyde Park, Clinton over Six Senses
On Monday night, the Rhinebeck Town Board voted 4-0 to file a lawsuit against neighboring towns Clinton and Hyde Park over recent concessions to Six Senses developers. The main entrance for the 236-acre high-end resort with is proposed off of Route 9G on the border of Hyde Park and Rhinebeck.
The lawsuit is filed under the New York State Article 78 proceeding, which “seeks to challenge actions of administrative agencies and other government bodies.”
Town of Hyde Park board members did not comment on the lawsuit during a meeting on Monday night that approved a settlement agreement with Six Senses over a lawsuit over access roads in the town. Board members voted 4-1 in favor of the developers agreement.
On Tuesday night, Town of Clinton board members also voted in favor of the same settlement agreement.
