Inaugural writer’s retreat series starts with “New Erotica for Feminists”
7-9pm • Rough Draft, Kingston • “New Erotica" is a sly, satirical take on all the things that turn feminists on: From a retelling of Adam and Eve to tales of respectful Tinder dates, it answers the question of “What do women really want?” with stories of power, equality, and an immortal Ruth Bader Ginsburg. What do you think about re-powering a natural gas plant in the Town of Newburgh?
Friday is the deadline to comment to New York State about repowering the Danskammer plant in the Town of Newburgh. According to Scenic Hudson, “The existing plant operates less than five percent of the time, providing energy only during the highest-demand periods. Lecture: Lost Lighthouses of the Hudson River

TRAFFIC ALERT:

One of Dutchess County’s largest road improvements for 2019 began last week on Myers Corners Road (CR-93) between All Angels Hills Road (CR-94) and State Route 376 in the Town of Wappinger. The project is expected to take approximately 15 months to complete. Expect delays and lane closures, or seek alternate routes.
