Reflecting on the 50th anniversary of Woodstock

Last week, we were treated to a sneak peek of the special exhibition, “We Are Golden: Reflections on the 50th Anniversary of the Woodstock Festival and Aspirations for a Peaceful Future” at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts – and as of March 30, the exhibition is now open to the public. Take photos with the Woodstock crowd with a special selfie area, complete with dress-up items like tunics and hats. Hear about the Woodstock generations’ hopes, dreams and fears with interactive displays. And see iconic photographs and rare artifacts up close, like handwritten lyrics to Canned Heat’s song “Goin’ Up the County,” and the bass guitar played by Jefferson Airplane’s Jack Casady.

BONUS: Casady will be at the Levon Helm Studios on Thursday celebrating his 75th birthday with Jorma Kaukonen (!) Super cool. Make a weekend out of it. More info + events below.
