Orange County to host 20th annual Clothesline Project
To honor survivors and victims of gender-based violence, Orange County will be hosting the 20th annual Clothesline Project on October 3, 2025.
The Clothesline Project features t-shirts designed by survivors, family members and friends of victims with a personal messages or images that depicts stories of loss, resilience or healing.

This year’s display will feature 300–400 shirts, part of the more than 700 collected locally since the project began. A commemorative book featuring photos of every shirt will also be available. The clothesline will be displayed from 10am to 3pm in front of the Orange County Government Center.
“Domestic violence has taken too many lives here in Orange County, and we must continue to speak out and support survivors,” said Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus. “The Clothesline Project is a powerful reminder of the strength of survivors and the devastating impact of abuse on families. By coming together, we can raise awareness, honor those we have lost, and reaffirm that domestic violence has no place in our community.”
“Intimate partner violence thrives in silence and isolation. Orange County has a long tradition of working together and putting survivors first,” said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director of Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc.
