Coat drive planned throughout Dutchess

As cooler temperatures return, warm coats in good, clean condition are needed for local residents. The 30th annual Susan DeKuekelaere Memorial Coat Drive will take place October 1 through October 31, 2024 at various locations throughout Dutchess County.

Last year, Dutchess Outreach received and distributed over 12,000 coats and winter essentials to community members in need.

Warm coats in clean, good condition (washed or new) for all ages – with a special need for children and adult plus-size coats – will be accepted at the following locations from October 1-31:

  • Chase Bank, 285 Main Street, Poughkeepsie

  • East Fishkill Town Hall

  • IHeart Media, 20 Tucker Drive, Poughkeepsie

  • Millbrook Library

  • Pleasant Valley Library

  • Prime Storage (multiple locations)

  • Raymour and Flanagan Showroom or Outlet, Vassar Road, Poughkeepsie

  • Red Cap Cleaners (all locations)

  • Rhinebeck Bank (all locations)

  • TEG Federal Credit Union (all locations)

Note: Coat donations will not be accepted at the Dutchess Outreach office or building.

In addition to kid’s coats and large, adult-sized coats, hats, gloves and other winter essentials can also be donated. For more information, contact Robin Tanenbaum, Dutchess Outreach volunteer coat drive manager, at 914-848-1042 or email: sdmcoatdrive@dutchessoutreach.org
