Ahh, it’s TAX DAY!

▲Raising awareness for veterans with a Walk Across America
Tom Zurhellen, Commander at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 170 in Poughkeepsie, starts his Walk across America to raise awareness of issues affecting veterans through VetZero – an organization aiming for zero veteran suicides, zero veteran homelessness and zero tolerance for disrespect for veterans in our community. Commander Tom starts his trek in Portland, Oregon on April 15 and will return to Poughkeepsie around August 23. Follow his journey at facebook.com/veteranzero.

Swap meet with Yard Sale
Buy, sell, trade, drink and dance every Tuesday night in April at the Beverly in Kingston beginning at 8:30 pm. This week’s theme: Ballads/Collectibles – action figures, comic books, stamps, guitar picks, etc. accompanied by music from Yard Sale.

Gilded Age Mansion Re-Opens for House Tours

Brush Pick-Up in Millbrook
Through May 31, with additional days during the summer: July 8, August 12 and September 9. Branches less than five inches in diameter, and less than ten feet in length should be placed unbundled on the curb with all cut ends facing the same way. Please do not leave leaf piles, tree trunks or stumps. (Leaf pick-up begins October 1.)
