This unique exhibition brings together the local community to explore the profound intersections of nature, history, and narrative through the medium of printmaking. This collaboration was inspired by the discovery that GAC and DFPL had complementary summer themes—Garrison Art Center’s Rooted: Art and the Natural World for their K-12 Summer Programs and the Desmond-Fish Public Library’s summer reading theme, Unearth A Story. GAC and DFPL aimed to highlight the compelling connections between art, storytelling, and the natural world. Participating printmakers were encouraged to think expansively and approach the concepts of being "rooted" and "unearthing" both literally and conceptually. The resulting exhibition highlights the rich dialogue between visual art and storytelling. Website

The Keeper Screening and Talk with Jon Bowermaster and John Lipscomb
Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 7pm
Cost of admission: $15
Hudson River Maritime Museum, 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston

Come to the Homeport Barn for this special screening of The Keeper by Jon Bowermaster! Like many rivers around the world – the Hudson, America's First River and the Birthplace of the American Environmental Movement – boomed as a growing human population used it for transportation, sustenance and, for many years, a dumping ground. The river paid a price for all this use and abuse, struggling against its share of contamination. For the past nearly three decades the river's poet laureate and literal "eyes on the river," Captain John, has been at the forefront of each of those fights, taking on industrial and human pollution, suffering the losses and celebrating victories. While he has had successes on the Hudson, committing a life to protecting a river is a never-ending fight. Today, John Lipscomb is one of more than 300 “Keepers” around the globe, looking out for their respective rivers. This screening will feature a talk with Jon Bowermaster and special guest John Lipscomb. Website: http://fh2x46.s.gy/cj0Bd9

For more than 25 years, the avant-garde New York fashion collective threeASFOUR — Gabi Asfour, Angela Donhauser, and Adi Gil — have created clothing with uncompromising vision. Drawing inspiration from natural forms and pioneering techniques, they have continually pushed the boundaries of what fashion can be. Shaped by their childhood experiences dictated by conflict—Gabi with roots in Palestine, Adi with roots in Israel, and Angela with roots in Germany—the trio infuse their work with a shared philosophy of peace allowing diverse cultural perspectives to meet in creative dialogue. Founded in 2005 as an evolution of As FOUR—the design collective established in 1998 by Asfour, Donhauser, Gil, and Kai Kühne—threeASFOUR’s work has earned them a devoted cult following, a Cooper Hewitt National Design Award, global museum exhibitions, and fans like Björk and Chloë Sevigny. Yet behind the acclaim lies an ongoing challenge to exist in an industry that prioritizes commerce over creativity. Filmed over five years with unguarded intimacy, first-time feature documentary director Sean Ono Lennon, co-director Brian C. González, and writer/editor Jenny Golden’s partnership mirrors the creative collectivism they capture in front of the camera. The filmmakers bring a fly-on-the-wall honesty, crafting a raw, emotional portrait of three iconoclasts daring to center artistry and collaboration over money and profit. http://woodstockfilmfestival.org/events/2026/threeasfour
