Drive-in theaters around the Hudson Valley
There’s nothing quite like a night at the drive-in, and luckily for us, the Hudson Valley is home to several operating outdoor movie theaters.
This year though, two of the valley’s most popular sites – the Greenville Drive-in (pictured, above), and the Hyde Park Drive-In – will not be opening for the season.

Four Brothers Drive-In
(pictured, above)
A modern take on a retro drive-in behind the Four Brothers restaurant in the center of Amenia. The small eastern Dutchess town was once home to the smallest theater in the world but now a half-a-mile away, the town’s drive-in is America’s newest drive-in theater built from the ground up. And it comes complete with a snack bar with car service (including Four Brothers-made Greek yogurt), electric car charging station, mini-golf, on-site camping and the Hotel Caravana, a rentable jungle-themed Airstream RV equipped with a Polaroid, iPad, bikes (and plans for a jacuzzi) in the drive-in’s lot filled with kitschy, handmade pieces from across America (think: PeeWee).

Greenville Drive-In – closed for 2025
The operators of the Greenville Drive-in recently announced they will not open for the 2025 season due to family matters out-of-state. Here’s the full statement:
Due to our continuing eldercare commitments out-of-state, Leigh and I have made the difficult decision to not operate the Greenville’s Drive-in 32 for the 2025 season.
For the past 10 years, the community around the drive-in has been truly special and we will be incredibly sad to miss seeing and serving of all of our regulars, our staff, our vendors and the wider community of the Northern Catskills that we’ve come to know and love. The drive-in is a lot to run as a mom-and-pop enterprise and as our energies need to be focused elsewhere at this time, we feel it is best to keep the theatre dark this season rather than attempt to run it without the full attention it and our guests deserve.
Many thanks for your understanding and please do continue to support the numerous other independent movie theatres that make our part of New York truly special.
Dwight & Leigh
