“A colorful, fun, and playful pink cat with a thumbs up for voting will mark this 2024 election season,” thanks to Tess Gallo, a 13-year-old student from Miller Middle School in Lake Katrine, who was just announced the winner of the 2024 Ulster County Board of Elections’ annual sticker contest.

102 students from across Ulster County submitted unique “I Voted” election sticker designs in 2024, the highest number of submissions to date, according to the county’s BOE commissioners. Gallo’s “I Voted” sticker artwork will be produced and distributed at all early voting centers in Ulster County starting Saturday, October 26, “allowing our community members to proudly display their civic pride when they participate in early voting,” According to Ulster County’s BOE commissioners. Additionally, these stickers will be available at all Ulster County poll sites on Election Day, November 5, ensuring that every voter on Election Day can help promote voting on this important day.
