Race ends at Roe Jan Creek Boat Club, Station Road, Germantown; Lifejackets are required. No alcohol. There is a portage around Bingham’s Mills; a ladder will be provided to make it easier for racers to exit the creek. No spectators allowed at Bingham’s Mills, the best place to watch the race is at Roe Jan Park on Dales Bridge Road in Germantown or at the Roe Jan Creek Boat Club (do not trespass on private property). In March 2020, WomensWork.Art put on a group exhibition called 'Mother/Father', which explored the works of Artists navigating Parenthood and how it affected their overall bodies of work. The show only stayed open for two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the gallery and the show altogether. Shutting down this show was a huge loss for the Artists, whose works about parenthood were not seen by the public due to the pandemic. Now five years later, that theme is being are re-examined with how the circumstances of artists has evolved over that time, and how modern parenthood has evolved with it. https://womenswork.art

Maria Lai: A Journey to America

The first retrospective in the United States dedicated to one of the most important Italian artists of the 20th century. This free, family-friendly event features farm tours, storytelling, seed planting activities, hay rides, games, and delicious food. Children will enjoy hands-on agricultural experiences while everyone learns about sustainable farming practices in a fun, engaging environment. Come spend a day on the farm with community partners including Peek-a-Boo Family Music, JBL Children, Desmond-Fish Public Library, and more. 4th Annual New Netherland Marketplace: Living History Event

Members of the federally recognized Lenape Delaware communities, which currently reside in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Ontario, will be returning to their sacred homelands to portray the life of their ancestors and their economic relationship with the European settlers. Their camp will have ongoing open-fire cooking, cordage making, bow shooting, flintknapping, arrow making, and hide tanning demonstrations throughout the weekend. Each day, representatives will offer a cultural stomp dance demonstration, in which visitor participation is encouraged.
