Held in the architecture meadows at Art Omi, the barn raising is both a communal building effort and a celebration of collective making. The day will be divided into two construction sessions with participation slots available on a first-come, first-served basis. While RSVPs are required to participate in the physical construction, all are invited to gather together at the site any time between 10am and 4pm to have a snack, witness the process, engage with the project, and be part of this shared moment of construction. There will be local crafters and vendors, raffles, photo opportunities with Santa & Mrs. Claus, free face painting, and more! We will also have wreaths on display decorated by local businesses, as well as buckets filled by faculty and staff members at MCSES that you can purchase raffle tickets for to try and win. Each raffle ticket is only $.25. The drawing for the wreaths and buckets will be on December 17th, and the winners will be contacted by a member of the PTO.
